How verification works
We use a simple, public check so anyone can confirm the draw was fair.
Seed: a secret random value created before the draw. This value is used to identify the draw and is not known to anyone.
Commitment hash: a SHA-256 fingerprint is a one-way digital summary of the seed. It always produces a fixed-length string, and even a tiny change in the seed creates a completely different result. The published hash acts like a tamper check: if someone changed the seed later, the regenerated hash would not match.
Verify: part of the commitment hash is used to generate a number which corresponds to a winning ticket number.
How to verify
Verify the result: click "Verify". The winning ticket numbers calculated from the commitment hash should match the published winners.
Testing the seed: changing just one character in the seed and regenerating the commitment hash produces a completely different value, and verifying it will produce different winners from the original draw.
Invalid verification: changing a character in the seed without updating the commitment hash will cause the verification to fail, as the regenerated hash will not match the published commitment hash.
Restore the original values: click "Reset values" to return to the published seed and commitment, then verify the original draw again.
